CEMETERIES

Dalton, New Hampshire is home to three town-maintained cemeteries
(Cushman, Johns River and Ladd), as well as St. Matthews Cemetery,
portions of which lie in both towns of Whitefield and Dalton.

The Dalton Historical Society has indexed many of the names on the stones
in our cemeteries, and they have been entered in a database for quick
reference.  Digital photographs have also been taken of all gravestones in
the three town cemeteries, as well as some of those in surrounding towns.

Both the Cushman and Johns River Cemeteries are located on Route 135,
the main road through town.  Ladd Cemetery is located on Faraway Road.
St. Matthews Cemetery straddles the Dalton/Whitefield town line, and is
maintained by the Catholic church in Whitefield.
